HOW TO TRANSFER TICKETS

Transferring tickets allows you to send tickets securely from your Howler account to other people. When you transfer a ticket, the existing ticket is cancelled and a new ticket is issued to the email address specified. Both the original and new ticket holders will receive an email confirming the ticket transfer.

Heads up! Transferring a ticket means you will no longer have access to the ticket. The recipient is the new owner and the ticket will appear under their tickets tab. Entered the incorrect email address? Don’t worry, it happens. Please contact support@howler.co.za and one of our agents will assist you.

You cannot transfer a ticket to an email address that already has a ticket assigned to it. Each ticket needs to be assigned to a unique email address.

Transfers close on Friday, two weeks before each event.

Fees: R200 per entry, R100 per tent.

Here’s how:

1. Login to howler.co.za using the email address that your tickets are listed under and click on the tickets tab at the top of the page.

2. Click the three dots on the right hand side of your ticket and select the transfer button.

3. Fill in the details of the person you’re transferring the ticket to and click “transfer”

4. Double check the email address you are sending the entry to, confirm transfer by selecting “pay now” to pay the R200 transfer fee. Please remember to complete this same process if you are selling your tent too.

HOW TO RESELL YOUR TICKET

This is the ONLY place to sell your tickets, please do not use any other platform to sell. We will be directing the waiting list here and will be available until Friday, two weeks before the event. 

Please note that your entry ticket and accommodation ticket will be resold separately.

  1. Log into your Howler account and select Tickets.
    2. Click on the 3 dots on the right hand side of the ticket you’d like to sell.
    3. Click the “Sell Ticket” option to put your ticket on sale.
    *If your ticket is a complimentary ticket, you won’t be able to list it on Resale.

     

Set the price of your ticket. Enter your banking details. Please check this carefully. If your bank details are entered incorrectly, you’ll need to remove your ticket from Resale and relist it with the correct details.

Once listed,

– You can remove your ticket from Resale at any time provided it is still available. (see below on these steps)

– You will be notified by email if your ticket is sold and it will disappear from your account.

– Listing your ticket on Resale will incur a small transaction fee for both buyer and seller.

– Once your ticket has been sold, payment will be processed within 5-14 days. 

Your ticket will remain on Resale until it’s purchased, removed or until Resale is turned off. Resale may be closed prior to, or during, an event at the discretion of the event organiser or due to operational needs.

Remove Your Ticket From Resale

  • Log into your Howler account and navigate to Tickets
  • Select the 3 dots on the right hand side of the ticket listed on Resale and click on the “Remove from Resale” option. 


If your ticket is in someone’s cart, we won’t be able to remove it unless they abandon the cart or the session expires. 

You’ll get confirmation if it’s bought and the ticket will disappear from your account.
Once it’s been removed from Resale, you can find your ticket back in your account.
